Mercury Insurance recently auctioned off a 2015 Kia Sorento for $15,500, with the proceeds being donated to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.

In 2004, then 4-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer; she inspired a national charity that has raised more than $80 million.
