Alex's Lemonade Stand, a foundation dedicated to raising funds towards pediatric cancer research, set up shop in Quincy on Saturday.

Local childhood cancer survivor, Jackson Weppler, and his family were chosen by Alex's Lemonade to serve as hero family state representatives.

Jackson's father, Patrick, hopes that their family's story will help raise awareness about pediatric cancer.

The myth is that pediatric cancer is rare and it's not. Forty-two children a day are diagnosed with cancer. That's a school bus load full of kids. Seventy-nine kids die a day from childhood cancer.

Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation has raised over one-hundred million dollars toward finding a cure for cancer and has funded over four-hundred and seventy five cancer research projects nationwide.
