A lemonade stand run by Aaron’s Acres summer camp participants at Lancaster Shopping Center from 1:15 to 2:30 p.m. on July 15 raised about $500 to fight childhood cancer.
Participants in Berks and Dauphin counties held similar fundraisers; together, the proceeds from all three counties totaled more than $1,700. It is being donated through the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation.
Aaron’s Acres serves children and young adults with developmental disabilities. The fundraisers were part of its Aaron's Acres' Acts of Kindness program for campers ages 13 to 21.
