When
I am thrilled to be joining Team Lemon of Alex's Lemonade Stand in running the Philadelphia Broad Street Run. There is no cause closer to my heart than childhood cancer and finding a cure. As you may know, both Charlie and Alex had stage 4 neuroblastoma and both were treated at CHOP. We are forever grateful to all of the health care providers and researchers who enabled Charlie to attain No Evidence of Disease (NED). We are also tremendously grateful to Alex and her family for all of the amazing work they have done to fight childhood cancer and help families facing insurmountable obstacles. To date, ALSF has raised more than $60 million and funded over 275 research projects all on the same quest that we are, to put an end to childhood cancer. In addition to funding cutting-edge research into finding better treatments and ultimately cures, ALSF also funds nursing grants to improve the quality of life and care of children with cancer. Did you know... •Your donation of $50 will fund one hour of research. •A gift of $400 will fund one day of research. •A gift of $2,000 will fund a week of research. •A generous gift of $8,000 will pay for an entire month of research Childhood cancer is the leading cause of disease related death among children under the age of 15. Despite this fact, funding for childhood cancer research remains vastly underfunded. Finding better treatments and a cure is largely dependent upon individuals, families and organizations like ALSF to keep things moving in the right direction. Every penny counts. Thank you so much for your support. With hope and gratitude, Julie Haughey
