There are few things worse than cancer... but in my opinion, there is nothing worse than childhood cancer. As I embark on turning 30 this June, I will be running 30 miles in hopes of raising money for Alex's Lemonade Stand. The run will start in White Hall, Maryland, and end in York, Pennsylvania. Alex's Lemonade Stand is primarily focused on childhood cancer research, but some of the money also goes towards helping families with travel expenses.

Many of us dread getting older, but we shouldn't. We're lucky to get older. Let's give these kids a chance to do the same. Birthdays are victories.
