Family and friends,
Renee McMahon, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend left us in the early morning hours of January 2, 2013 after a long and ongoing struggle with cancer. She has touched and inspired many lives with her positivity, sense of humor, compassion, tolerance, and smile. She will be inexplicably missed but never forgotten and her spirit will survive in each of us.
In 2008, Renee was diagnosed with breast cancer. She approached the challenge of beating cancer and succeeded when she went on to enter remission in 2009. In 2011 she was given the news that the cancer had returned and she didn't hesitate to resume the fight immediately. She made a promise to herself and her family to never give up, and kept that promise without faltering. Although she has left our world, she has truly won the fight and is now resting peacefully and continuing to touch lives even in her absence.
Not only was my mother a cancer survivor and fighter, she was also very active in fundraising for cancer foundations. She would have loved the opportunity to contribute to the fight and research to one day end the evil disease we know as cancer. I intend to help her contribute, and hope that you will join me.
In leiu of flowers and condolences in memory of my mother, Renee McMahon, please make a donation to help in the fight against childhood cancer.
Any amount counts, and is appreciated by many, including my mother. Thank you for your continued support and prayers.
Kailey
