Welcome! I am running the Philadelphia Marathon on Sunday, November 20th as a member of "Team Lemon" - raising funds to support of the mission of the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation. 

Alex held her first lemonade stand after receiving a stem cell transplant in 2000 to raise money for "her hospital," and continued to hold the annual sale until she lost her battle with cancer in 2004.  Since then, children and families all over the world have sold lemonade and raised money to support Alex's mission, and I have decided to join them!

Ironically, as I sign up for this today, my daily quote from Runner's World was this:

The joy of running for something more than yourself is contagious and totally satisfying, not to mention tremendously motivating in training. I am both excited and honored to take part in a race that realizes that it really is more blessed to give than to receive. (Ryan Hall)

I recognize how lucky I am to be able to experience the joy of running, and look forward to doing so in support of this great cause.  Thank you for joining me!
