Found this on MCM facebook page and made me laugh :)

7 DAYS

What a journey it has been. I swear the countdown clock was in the triple digits just yesterday.

The miles and miles I have put on my shoes and my feet make me feel strong and confident that I will be able to finish this race. With a little tweek in our training program my running buddy Carolyn and I feel much better!

Along with the tremendous support of friends and family, I will be able to check this one off the bucket list (an item I never would have even imagined to be there)!

Happy Running :)

In 30 days I will be running 26.2 miles. Thats crazy! To think 6 miles was the max I have ever ran..and that was in April.

The time is ticking and so are the number of miles I have put on my shoes. Even with a couple of set backs, I still have a desire to run...to finish for this worthy cause.

Our running group is already talking about the next race that we will be training for..who would have thought that me, a softball player and choir singer would be running long distances?? Definately not me!!

But I am so thankful for the friends I have made, along with the goals that we pass every week in training for this amazing race.

With every donation and every "Good Luck" I receive I know that I am not running alone, my group will be there for me as I cross the finish line but also I run for ALSF to help fight childhood Cancer.

Thank you for the continued support!

55 days till the big day and I cant believe it. Time is really flying.

It felt like only yesterday when I signed up with USA Fit Running Group with the expectation to do a half marathon. To date, I have officially done 6 half marathons just in training on the long runs on Saturday.

This past Saturday was 16 miles. My running buddy Carolyn and I felt really good the whole way through! Funny how we can just say a short 16 mile run, considering that we have done more. Amazing what you put your mind/body to during training. Its a lifestyle change and most people don't understand it. Either way I'm thankful for all the support of 1) people thinking I'm crazy and 2) people happy to know that I am running for such an amazing cause.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, so every step and donation is used to help the cause.

Thank you for all the support!!!! :D

Wow... The training is getting longer and last week during the 14 mile I hit the runner's wall where most try to avoid. The challenges of pushing your body to its limit is quite interesting.  That wall is painful, full of tears, and it makes you give everything you have left in your toes to finish. I couldnt have done it without the support of my running group for the last 2 miles. Which leads me to say that I can only imagine the challenges and pain that children and their families go through while fighting cancer.

It is truly an honor to run for such a great organization. As more and more people here that I am running for ALSF they are more than happy to help the cause.

Thank you for all the support!

Hello All!

Wow, I cant believe that its already been 9 weeks since I started training for the marathon.

I want to thank everyone who has donated so far! Every little bit helps. Im even having a little lemonade stand at work today and the yellow lemons are posted everywhere in the branch.

Some other information, I am training with USA Fit Charlotte (http://www.usafitcharlotte.com/) they are a huge support and the friendships are amazing.

This weekend we are up to 12 miles. Keep my little feet in your prayers :)
