I'm a relatively new mom. Olivia is two years old and we have been so fortunate that her worst sickness was a ten-day cold. Every illness, every "boo boo" -- there is an end in sight. As a mother, there is nothing in this world more important to me than keeping my child safe and sound. When she is sick, or when she scrapes her knee, I want nothing more than to make her heal.  My heart aches when she is hurting or sniffling and coughing.

When I looked for a charity for which I should run, I came upon Alex's Lemonade Stand and was instantly moved.  I tried to imagine having a four-year-old battling cancer, facing severe illnesses, internal "boo boos," fear...  And for that brief moment, I stopped breathing. These children are brave, bright, and beautiful. I don't know what else to do, so I raise money for their cause. And I think of them every day.

Please join me in helping these children.  For every child like Alex, some younger, some older, your donation can provide much needed medicine and tests.  It can provide a teddy bear to comfort them.  It can provide relief for the family as they miss work shuttling their child to and from chemotherapy.  It's not an easy time for anyone to give, but no donation is too small - every penny adds up.
