UPDATE:  Sadly, on Fri. July 15, and after nearly 8 months of battling hard, Quinn Shomer, succumbed to her fight with cancer.  A private memorial was held on Tues. July 19 in Santa Monica to remember what a special little girl she was to all of us.

In the last 18months, 2 different sets of close friends' daughters have been diagnosed with and are currently battling different forms of childhood cancer: http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/quinnshomer http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/staciamers1 In an effort to help raise awareness & funds for the collective fight against childhood cancer, on April 14, 2012 I am going to run from the south rim of the Grand Canyon to the north rim & BACK...in 1 day. This rim2rim2rim adventure is approx. 41miles with 11,000ft of climbing & I expect it will take close to 12hrs to complete.
