Ishani is a 2nd grader at the school where I currently teach. She is one of the most courageous people I have ever met. She has been through two rounds battling cancer and is currently cancer free. She continues to go in for her tests to check her status. She has gone through chemo twice and is so strong for such a little girl. The cancer was in her leg and made it very hard to run and play. She would never complain in my class and her main desire was to be able to run and play like all the other kids. She is able to do that now and her family have been supporting Alex's Lemonade Stand with their own stand they use to fund raise with and in many other ways. I began biking back in April of 2010 and have decided to show my support of Ishani in her battle and Alex's Lemonade Stand by riding to raise funds and awareness of childhood cancer and the battle children face every day with this disease.
