Hey liz, you are the best sister ever! xo Dan

Yesterday, Flynn Team Lemon ran and completed the Philly 1/2 and Full Marathons!

It was a perfect running day, starting out chilly but soon turning sunny and warming up to 50 degrees.

Congrats to Seana, Alicia, Margaret, Jen and Jack Kelly, and myself :) for finishing the 1/2 marathon.  Of course, HUGE congrats to Jay and Dan as well as Scott Frankel, another Team Lemon member, who all completed the entire marathon.

We all had a fantastic time and together with Scott (who had his own fundraising page) raised over $7500 and counting!  It really felt like we were part of a team and I felt inspired by the support we have recieved for our efforts.

Thanks to all who donated and cheered us on!

Best wishes,
Liz

Well, the Philly Marathon is less than two weeks away!    We are all looking forward to it and winding down in our training. I maxed out at 9+ miles last weekend but this weekend I missed my long run due to the LA Loves Alex's Lemonade event in Los Angeles (AWESOME< BY THE  WAY!)   .

I plan to do one more long run (10+) still and then just get a couple of shorter runs in over the week and a half.

Everyone seems to have had their own method of training and mileage but each of us has said we will finish for sure!  Thank you to everyone for your support; I think we will reach our goal with one last push.

We look forward to the race!
Liz

Hi everyone,

We are all plugging away in our training. My longest run as been 6 miles so far, thanks to Alicia for pushing me to do more!   I know that Seana is doing great and we plan to run together next Sunday.
Margaret reports that she is making steady progress, although her babysitter has seen her run and says she will win. She must be way faster than I am!  The only comment I would be likely to get if someone saw me running would probably be "are you okay?!".

Jay ran over 14 miles yesterday and if I know Dan, he is making consistent and steady progress towards his 26.2.  These guys are incredible for taking on the full marathon. What a sense of commitment and determination.

INJURY REPORT: Sue and Pat still remain injured. I haven't heard any new news but hope they are recovering quickly.

Thanks for checking in. With hope and determination, Liz

For the most part I'm on track. I had been running only on the treadmill, but ventured outside last weekend and ran 13-14 miles. It was rough and I walked a mile of it in the middle, but I did manage to finish without any major aches or pains.

I will try to do 14-15 this weekend, hopefully without walking this time.

Dan

Thanks for updating Dan. I  plan to go for 7 this weekend, or at least 6.5.

Hi Everyone,

I am thrilled to announce that two friends are joining our team. Alicia Kopp and Seana Valentine have decided to run the half marathon on our team.   Alicia and Seana both knew Alex and have been devoted Team Alex members since Alex's stand was in our front yard.   They will "lighten up" our all brunette team by bringing their blonde ambition to the cause:)

My training is going okay, I seem to have hit a plateau around 4 - 5 miles but I am hoping this next week I will get through it and hit 6 miles.  I know Sue is up to 6 miles and Jay is running like crazy too.    Unfortunately, Patti, who was way ahead of us all with her training has an injury that most likely will keep her from joining us but we know whe would have finished easily for sure!

I haven't heard from Dan and Margaret about their training, so hopefully they will post a blog to let us know how things are going.

I plan to send out the page to raise some money next week.

Go Team!
Liz
