Hey everyone:) I am super excited to be running the 2025 New York City Marathon to raise money for Alex's Lemonade Stand and pediatric cancer research!

At 16 years old, I was diagnosed with lung cancer, requiring emergency surgery to remove two-thirds of my right lung. This came as quite a shock, as I was extremely active and otherwise healthy. During my recovery, I battled through sepsis, acute kidney damage, a collapsed lung, and the mental and emotional effects of a cancer diagnosis. Today, I am lucky to be nearly 10 years cancer free and am committed to giving back to ensure other children and families are supported through similar challenges.

My story is not especially unique. Every day, there are almost 800 new cases of childhood cancer around the world, equating to an estimated 300,000 new cases each year. Although research is essential to determine safe and efficacious treatments, pediatric cancer is consistently underfunded, with less than 4% of the federal government's total annual funding for cancer research dedicated to pediatric cancer. Thus, foundations such as Alex's Lemonade Stand are integral to saving young lives.
