My dad ran the NYC Marathon when he was 65 years old. I did not start running until I was 59. One of my goals was to run the Marathon and beat him by just one second.

It's been too hard for me to get into NYC so I've decided to run in the Chicago Marathon.

Most of you know me from all my concession work. I found a charity that uses Lemonade stand to raise money for cancer research. A perfect fit for me.

I'll be running for my dad John McConnell and also my brother Brian McConnell who passed from cancer.

I hope you can donate some to help me reach my goal of $1,500 by marathon time in 2025. $25, $50, $100 or whatever you can afford is much appreciated. I'll post current photo as I continue to train for this event.
