Hello and welcome to the 11th annual A&A Lemonade Stand fundraiser page. Alexandra and Avery's previous lemonade stands have raised a total of $17,535 for childhood cancer research! That money has been used to fund 351 hours of research since 2014. Thanks to all who have generously donated through the years!
Why we do this :
Every year, an estimated 400,000 new cases of cancer affect children world wide, that is over 1,000 people diagnosed daily.
In the United States, an average of 47 children ages 0-19 diagnosed with Cancer on a daily basis. Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in American children, resulting in the death of approximately 1,800 kids each year. Despite these facts, childhood cancer research is consistently underfunded by the federal government.
The ALSF Grant Program funds research every step of the way—from early stage innovative research all the way through to lifesaving clinical trials for kids with cancer. Together, ALSF is making a difference:
1,000+ medical grants at 150 institutions
240+ Ongoing Clinical Trials funded each year.
Our family was directly affected by this epidemic in 1987, when our cousin, Robert Venditelli, lost his battle with childhood cancer.
Please join us once again in the fight against childhood cancer. Donations can be made through this page…or better yet, stop by (details above) on June 29th between 11am and 3pm to enjoy some lemonade.
The lemonade is free with a donation of any amount!
