The Manzano Monarchs are known for their generosity and charitable spirit. This years charity effort begins with the story of 2 friends. One named Emily who had a rare cancer only affecting children. The other, Kileigh who grew up to become one of these generous and charitable Monarchs. Emily lost her battle against cancer but Kileigh remained true, picking up the torch in her memory and continues to this day to find ways to remember her precious friend and bring awareness to others of how together we can find a cure so that noone else has to say goodbye to their precious friend.
On Friday, September 23, at an EPiC game between the Manzano Monarchs and the Sandia Matadors, the Spirit Squad cheering them on, these brave and heroic kids will be tackling childhood cancer with a fighting Spirit. It's known as the GOLD GAME. Going gold for kids with cancer.
We will be selling lemonade at the game at Wilson Field beginning at 7pm and going till we run out. You can help us by sharing this link and helping us spread the word. Donations can be made right here as well as at the event. All donations will go to Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for research for a cure. Thank you.
