Welcome Mom's I thought I would tell you why ALL Leukemia is so near and dear to our family. My little cousin Dominic was diagnosed on July 2nd 2004 he had just turned 3. It was surreal he went through so much in those first days and the unknown was scary. He fought to get to remission which happened in August, that was the start. He had 2 years of heavy chemo, had a broviac tube which was in his chest for the 2 years of treatment. He came through with flying colors and it was removed at the age of 6 right before his last day of Kindergarten. He is now 20 years old and is a college sophomore. He faced way more than he should in his childhood so it we can raise money for research so there is one day a family that doesn't have to hear those awful works your child has leukemia.
