I have talked myself into running my first 1000k race.  I am going to attempt to complete the Great Virtual Race Across Tennessee. So in reality I am going to run a race across the state of Tennessee virtually in Germany (and any other European county we can visit this summer). This amounts to just over 5 miles a day, everyday, for 121 days beginning May 1st - August 31st.  This may not be a big deal for your everyday Ultramarathoner (many of who have been patients of mine), but it is a big deal for me. Considering I completed a full Ironman and never ran more than 25 miles in one week in my training! 

If I am going to try to complete this feat I figured I should try to raise some money for a great cause. After having my first child 4 months ago I can't imagine a better cause to raise money for than childhood cancer. Please support this great cause and help motivate me and keep me accountable to get up everyday and go for a 5 mile run. Keep in mind our child is 4 months old so a full nights sleep is really not a thing.
