Hello lovers and friends! This year, I am so excited (and nervous) to share that I'll be running the New York City Marathon alongside Alex's Lemonade Stand, raising money to help fund childhood cancer research. This organization is one that I hold very close to my heart - as some of you may know, my niece Kayla was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma following her nine month routine check-up. I am in awe of her resilience and bravery, remaining one of the happiest, silliest babies throughout the course of her treatment.

This is a disease that does not discriminate and it's common to find yourself saying "I could never imagine" when you hear stories of  families battling this illness. The reality is, only 4% of the National Cancer Institute's budget is given to pediatric cancer research. Organizations like Alex's Lemonade Stand and your donations are the reason why Kayla and children like her can receive the most updated treatment they need, allowing their diagnosis to become a distant memory and one that does not define them.
