Greetings! Some of you know that I'm an avid runner. I discovered this 7 years ago and it changed my life. Running helped me realize the beauty that exists in this world through comradery, encouragement, friendship and love. 7 marathons later, I still cherish every step.
Then, a year and a half ago, something changed. I met a wonderful young lady named Oliviah Hall. She had a severe type of brain cancer. I only met her briefly, but started following her journey. Oliviah showed the world what it was like to embrace every moment, and enjoy the journey that is life. Sadly, on December 29th, 2018, the cancer won the battle and Oliviah joined with our loved ones. I vowed to make every step of my 2019 running journey in her honour. I needed something..just...something to give back to all of the love she gave the world... That's when I decided... I want to use my gift to continue hers....because of that...I'm running the 2019 Bank of America Chicago Marathon in her name by raising money to support a charity that understands the needs of children and families in need of support during difficult times like the one Oliviah and her family endured.
I'm joining with Team Lemon to help Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation move one step closer to finding a cure for all children with cancer! You can support me by visiting my page, making a donation or joining me! The money you donate will pay for research to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. Please help kids and their families by providing desperately needed hope! Thanks for your support!
