I'm joining with Team Lemon to help Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, as part of the Gavin Strong Fund for Neuroblastoma Research, move one step closer to finding a cure for all children with cancer! I will be running in memory of a little boy who is close to my heart - Gavin Morris.
Gavin was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at the age of 2 1/2, and passed away in 2014, at the age of 4 1/2. He was a child that could light up any room with his presence, and taught those of us in my hometown, and across the states of WV and PA, the true meaning of Strength. Gavin's parents have endured an unimaginable loss. But, they stand in hope, strength and courage - ready to fight and win for other children with neuroblastoma through the Gavin Strong Fund for Neuroblastoma Research at Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation – and I will be joining their fight as a runner in the 2019 Chicago Marathon, with the goal of raising $1,250 for the Fund. You can support us in this fight by visiting my page, making a donation, or joining me! The money you donate go straight to Gavin’s fund, and will pay for research to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer.
