I came across a post tonight that broke my heart. It was about a beautiful little girl named Courtney who today, won her battle against cancer, and gained her angel wings. She was five. The post was shared by a mom of another little girl with cancer, Hazel, who is also five, and fighting Leukemia. In her post, she talks about having to explain to her five year, that her friend had gone to be with God, way too soon, a conversation no parent should ever have to have with their child. I’d been meaning to host another fundraiser for @alexslemonade for a while, and reading this, gave me the final push. Thanksgiving is coming up next week, and though sometimes we don’t realize it, we have so much to be thankful for, so while we give thanks, why don’t we take the opportunity to also give back?
