When
Dear Friends,
Do you know that every two minutes a child is diagnosed with cancer? That means 25,000 parents will hear the words “Your child has cancer” just this month. Do you know that childhood cancer research remains grossly underfunded by the federal government, so that cures for kids’ cancer may not always be available at a timely manner? Do you also know that Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) is the leading national childhood cancer nonprofit funding impactful research, raising awareness, and supporting families of kids with cancer?
This summer, we, a group of OES (Oakton Elementary School in Virginia) Panthers and our friends from nearby schools, are holding a fundraiser to help ALSF move one step closer to finding a cure for all children with cancer!
Many a little makes a mickle. Every dollar counts! You can join us by attending our event from 9 am to noon on Aug 4 in front of Hair Cuttery in Pickett Shopping Center (9468 Main Street, Fairfax, VA 22031), or making a donation right to our page at www.alexslemonade.org/mypage/1488052 anytime from now to 10 pm of August 10, 2018.
The money you donate will pay for research to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer. Kids with cancer are relying on your generosity and as a result, your compassion is transforming lives. To learn more about how your donation helps, please visit www.alexslemonade.org/where-money-goes.
Please help kids and their families by providing desperately needed hope! Thanks for your support!
