This summer, Bob’s Discount Furniture will be raising money for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation in the Café of each of its stores. Every month, Bob’s collects thousands of dollars from their generous customers who want to give back to their community. Bob’s matches 100% of the money raised and each quarter selects a non-profit to be the recipient of the Café Collection donations. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is excited to announce that we will be the recipient of all the donations collected from July to September.

Alex's Lemonade Stand and Bob's Discount Furniture have teamed up with the Young Men's and Young Women's Leadership Groups at Manchester High School in Manchester, CT to build a lemonade stand to help raise money for children fighting cancer. The students will design and build a stand that will be featured in the Café of Bob’s Manchester, CT location.

Bob’s Discount Furniture has always been dedicated to giving back to the communities that they serve, especially in the Manchester, CT area, where the company was founded and is headquartered. Alex’s Lemonade Stand is particularly special to Bob’s, as the Manchester area was where Alex was born and close to where she grew up. Alex spent a lot of time in Manchester, where her grandparents resided. In fact, Alex’s first stand was right up the road from Bob’s in West Hartford, CT!

The money raised by Bob’s for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation will go to research for new treatments and cures for children fighting cancer. So, next time you are in your local Bob’s Discount Furniture store, head over to the Café and check out the larger than life statue of Bob and add to his collection!
