When
As you may know, when I was 12 years old, my world was rocked when my 3 year old sister was diagnosed with cancer. After surgery, radiation, and 6 months of heavy chemotherapy, my sister was officially cancer free. Though she is no longer plagued with the disease, the impact that it left in our lives will forever remain. We are continually seeking ways to give back to the world that blessed us with more time with my beautiful sister.
Last May, I joined Team Lemon with the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation as a charity runner in the Pittsburgh Half Marathon to move one step closer to finding a cure for all children with cancer. Through all of the generous donations, I managed to raise $1,134.20 which amounts to over 23 hours of research! It was such an incredible journey running for more than myself that I decided to do it again!
February 23-24, 2019, I will be running the Princess Challenge in Disney World for the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, with a goal to fund 24 hours of research. Each $25 raised will fund one half hour of research. The money donated will go directly toward research to find better treatments and cures for childhood cancer.
I hope you will consider helping kids and their families by providing desperately needed hope! Thank you for your prayers and support!
