I started raising funds for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation after my husband (Paul) and friend (Tony) were both killed by a reckless, young driver (on June 6, 2015) while on a training ride for the Wisconsin Ironman. 

Paul, Tony and I worked for Northwestern Mutual, which had adopted this charity (and so it meant a lot to us all). Both men also supported their wives who lost family members to cancer. So we mourn them, but we've chosen to celebrate their amazing spirits in positive ways (because that is who Paul and Tony were every day). 

The fund raising goal of 6615 commemorates the last day that I heard Paul and Tony laugh (and watched them ride off together in friendship). I thank God for the comfort of that memory & for Hope that we'll see them again.
