Alexandra "Alex" Scott, a young cancer patient, was only 4 years old when she decided to hold a lemonade stand to raise money for "her hospital," so doctors could help other kids like they'd helped her. Alex held her first stand in 2000 and continued to hold lemonade stands each year, inspiring support from her community and across the nation. Although sadly Alex passed away at the age of 8, she knew she had reached the ambitious goal of raising $1 million for childhood cancer research.
I am a fortunate mom of two healthy beautiful girls. Sofia(6) Isabella (5). Sofia two years ago when living in the Bay Area asked if we can do a lemonade stand and of course I said yes. I remember years ago reading about Alex's journey and her bravery left a lasting impression on me. Now our legacy with ALSF is in Boulder where we now live. We will continue to honor Alex and how brave she was through her fight. Please help us fight for children who are not fortunate and healthy as my girls. Together we can put an end to childhood cancer.
Thank you in advance for our support, Jody, Sofia & Isabella
