Thank you for visiting my 2017 NYC Marathon Fundraiser page!
I’m proud to say I'm running my first NYC Marathon on November 5, 2017. This year, I was fortunate enough to earn entry via the NYRR lottery so I’m under no obligation to raise funds. However, to make this NYC Marathon experience more meaningful and because I am very fortunate and grateful to have three healthy children of my own, I’ve decided to rejoin Team Lemon and raise funds for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). ALSF is a childhood cancer foundation dedicated to raising funds for research into new treatments and cures for all children battling cancer. ALSF was founded by Alexandra “Alex” Scott at the age of 4 years old when she held a front yard lemonade stand with the stated mission of “finding cures for all children battling cancer.” (More about Alex’s amazing life: https://www.alexslemonade.org/hero/alexandra-alex-scott)
I previously raised funds for ALSF while running the 2013 Philadelphia Marathon. As part of that experience, I was fortunate enough to meet Alex’s parents, Liz and Scott, at the Team Lemon pre-race pasta dinner reception. I'll always remember that evening and I continue to be touched by their dedication to honoring and fulfilling Alex’s mission of finding a cure for all children with cancer.
Please consider supporting ALSF to help them end childhood cancer. No donation is too small and all donations are tax deductible.
Thanks in advance for your attention and generosity!
Sincerely,
Mike
