Did you know that only about 4% of all money raised for cancer research goes towards childhood cancers?  Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children under the age of 15 in the US and 1 in 5 children diagnosed with cancer will succomb to it.  My family and I know this all too well as almost 30 years ago, we lost my brother Nicholas when he was 8 years old to Askin's Sarcoma.  Nick fought bravely for 3 years and left a lasting legacy in his short life.

This year, 2016, is a milestone for me personally as I will enter a new decade.  As I say goodbye to my 30's and hello to my 40's, I thought what better way to honor my brother's memory than by raising money for a great cause.  And as it turns out, September is Pediatric Cancer Awareness Month - IT'S A SIGN!
