Did you know that childhood cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in children under the age of 15 in the US? I didn't. I actually didn't know much about cancer before I started working at ALSF. I didn't realize how underfunded childhood cancer research was, or that even if a child is a cancer survivor they can have severe lifelong side effects from their treatment. I also didn't know that there are thousands of people who are helping to find a cure. There are kids all across the world who hold lemonade stands to help fight childhood cancer, and there are brilliant doctors and researchers dedicated to finding new treatments and a cure.

The best part about working at ALSF is I KNOW we are making a difference and could tell you story after story of kids and families who have benefitted from this organization. So, this year for my birthday I'm asking you to help fight childhood cancer with me. I've signed up to run the Disney Princess 5k in February and will do so with Team Lemon, to help fund critical childhood cancer research. No donation is too small because every dollar counts in the fight against childhood cancer. Thank you!
