During a unit on persuasive writing, our class chose a cause to support and to persuade others to donate to a charitable organization supporting their cause.  Students also created iMovies publishing their persuasive speeches.  One cause stood out to us as we have been touched this year by the story of our dear friends' relative--Jonny Wade.  Jonny is a family member of two staff members in our district--Vicki Thomas and Robyn Justice.  He lost his battle to pediatric cancer this past year, but his dream was for no other child to have cancer.  We are working toward continuing his dream by raising money for pediatric research through Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation!
