Dear Friends and Family,

          On January 9 – 12, 2014, I am lacing up my sneakers and running the Dopey Challenge, which consists of a total of 48.6 miles. I will be running the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Marathon at Walt Disney World to raise money and awareness for childhood cancer, primarily research into new treatments and cures where I will be joining the Team Lemon on behalf of Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). I am taking on this challenge of my life in honor of all the children that have, are, or will fight cancer.

           I am asking friends and family to consider sponsoring me for this event. I have an ambitious goal of raising a minimum of $3,000 for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.          Although it will be a challenge for me to complete these races, I will be especially motivated by the excitement of knowing that it will benefit such a worthy cause. Cancer is the number one cause of death by disease for children. It kills more children than asthma, diabetes, cystic fibrosis, congenital anomalies and pediatric AIDS combined. Every year an estimated 263,000 new cases of cancer affect children under the age of 20 worldwide; that’s 720 new kids affected every day.
