Welcome to my totally awesome lemonade stand. After running my first marathon for myself last year, I decided it was time to run a marathon for someone else. I can think of no better charity to fundraise for than Alex's Lemonade Stand. All money raised will help fund research and cures for pediatric cancer. This is a cause that is near to my heart as my older sister Caitlyn suffered from leukemia when she was just four years old. I am forever grateful for the treatments that saved my sister's life and believe that every child deserves the best medicine and a fighting chance at beating cancer. In a perfect world, the words child and cancer would never go together. Unfortunately, this is not a perfect world and everyday 720 children are diagnosed with cancer and that number is rising. Please help me raise funds for this amazing organization so we can all do our part in helping children already suffering from cancer and fund research that will hopefully one day make childhood cancer a thing of the past.

       On November 2, 2014 I will set out on a 26.2 mile run in the NYC marathon as a very proud member of Team Lemon. I have set a fundraising goal of $3000 or $115 per mile. Our $3000 will fund over a week and a half of cancer research! Each person that donates a mile will receive a special thank you gift from me. Thank you for making my fundraising dream come true and for helping to fight childhood cancer!
