Hello All,
My name is Alison Wall and I am fundraising for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation, a national organization dedicated to curing childhood cancer. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation evolved from 4-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott’s front yard lemonade stand into a national movement dedicated to finding better treatments and cures for all childhood cancers and founded on the premise that you are never too young to make a difference. My goal is to raise $800.00 for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation and join Team Lemon in running the Disneyland 10k in August 2014.
In January 2014 I ran the TinkerBell ½ marathon at Disneyland and found it to be a very magical experience, one that I want to repeat. This time I want to make my run count for more than just the medal at the finish line. I chose to run with Team Lemmon because I was truly inspired by Alex and her vision. I have seen firsthand the difference children can make, and it is remarkable. At Alex’s first lemonade in 2000 stand she raised $2000 for “her hospital” to give money to the doctors to help them find a cure. Since then ALSF has raised $75 million dollars which has gone to funding cutting edge research, funding a travel program to assist families of children receiving treatments and to the development of resources to help people everywhere affected by childhood cancer.
I encourage you to take a few minutes to learn more about Alex's Lemonade Stand by visiting http://www.alexslemonade.org. I know once you do you will be as inspired as I was and want to join me in the fight against childhood cancer!
Please feel free to forward my fundraising page on to your family, friends and colleagues.
Thank you!
