Since I am all about raising awareness for childhood cancer, I will be sporting this snazzy ensemble for the Disney Dumbo Double Dare (check out my pics). We only have about a week to go...can't wait! We are making a difference, one step at a time. Thanks so much!

Nice 12-miler to start off the weekend....last long run before the Dumbo Double Dare...just 11 days to go. So thankful to all who have donated. Through hard work and the generosity of others, we have funded over 1 week, 2 days, and 4 hours of research! Your gifts could lead to a crucial discovery or even a cure for childhood cancer!

Well.....only 17 days until the Disneyland Dumbo Double Dare and I am so excited to meet the other Team Lemon members and run some super spectacular races! Thanks so much to all who have donated. We are in our home stretch and so close to reaching our fundraising goal. How about a little incentive to help us reach our goal?! The donor who puts us over the top, will receive the prize package pictured (see pictures to your right). Let's all help end childhood cancer.

In keeping with my commitment to run 1 race a month until the Disneyland Double Dare, I just finished by last race, Sierra Vista 5k Run Around the Park....only 32 days left. I am hoping to encourage and empower others to get involved and make a difference for children with cancer. With every stride I take, I hope to make a difference in a child's life. GO TEAM LEMON!

I have made a couple changes to my fundraising page since being given the opportunity to kick it up a notch. Instead of just running the Disneyland Half Marathon, I will run the Dumbo Double Dare with Team Lemon! A 19.3-mile adventure held over two days, I will run the Disneyland® 10K on Saturday, followed by the Disneyland® Half Marathon on Sunday. Kai will be running the Family Fun Run 5k and Violet will be running the 400m Kids Race. Jim, of course, will be cheering us on! All together we will be running just over 22 miles.

Please help us reach our fundraising goal by donating just $1 for each mile we run.

Having a child with cancer is one of the most painful and difficult situations a family can face. One in 330 children will be diagnosed with cancer by the time they turn 20.
Despite this, less than 5% of the federal government’s total funding for cancer research is dedicated to childhood cancers each year. This is why your support is so important. The money we raise for ALSF funds cutting-edge medical research as well as nursing grants to improve the quality of life and care of children with cancer.

Another awesome race done for Team Lemon, the Twilight Run. What a beautiful choice for my June race. Not only did we get to run a beautiful route in Tigard, Oregon, we also got to see the spectacular hot air balloons at the Tigard Balloon Festival. Thanks so much to Karley Carpenter and Violet for joining me and thanks to Logan and Atlas for cheering us on. We are getting closer and closer to our fundraising goal.
