Learn More »Five-year-old Madison Chind was misdiagnosed for 8 months before it was finally discovered that the active and strong willed little girl had stage 4 neuroblastoma in July 2011.
Madison’s big personality, despite her small 30 lb. frame, was more evident than ever after enduring 6 rounds of chemotherapy, multiple MRIs, catscans, bone marrow biopsies, brain surgery, countless tests and the first of two scheduled stem cell transplants. Through it all, her zest for life continues and inspires all who come in contact with her, especially her mom Jamie.
Jamie is continuously amazed by her sweet and giving daughter who just wants to get better, get her “tubes” out, go swimming and be able to play like a normal kid again. She remains hopeful that despite their long journey – Madison will beat her cancer and that someday a cure will be found so other families never have to experience the hardship and pain of having a child with cancer.
Quote from hero: “Sometime we just do what we gotta do.”
