Learn More »Chris loves baseball – he has a history of playing for his high school team and is a longtime fan of the San Francisco Giants. However, when he was in high school, Chris began having headaches and other strange symptoms.
Then he had a stroke and couldn’t feel the left side of his body. Tests and scans revealed a mass in Chris’s head, and he was diagnosed with glioblastoma.
Life turned upside down in a matter of days. Chris had a shunt placed and underwent chemotherapy and surgery. He showed up to Los Angeles Dodgers baseball camps despite throwing up from treatment. Thankfully, his treatment worked, and Chris has since survived this cancer three times.
Chris is a hero to himself through his fight, and thanks his mom, his pop, Ned Colletti (former General Manager of the Dodgers), Bertha Fajardo (a Giants employee), David Benzer (a Giants broadcaster and cancer survivor), Larry Baer (Giants CEO), Dan Bright and the Bright family for being an indispensable support system. He wants others to know that there is someone out there willing to fight for them. He dreams of finding a cure for all cancers. Today, he shares his story to inspire others to action.
He found Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) through Instagram, where he saw another child holding a lemonade stand, and immediately thought of his own son, who is also named Alex. To Chris, ALSF means giving – giving hope, life, and empowerment.
