Ashtyn is 3 1/2 years old. She was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) on September 27, 2008.  She is doing very well and winning her battle with the disease. She is in the maintenance phase of her therapy and does most of her doctoring at Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Hospital and Rocky Mountain Hematology and Oncology in Denver, CO. We also do some of the treatment at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, NE. She will be in treatment until September of 2010.  She is a little fireball! That is how I know that cancer has chosen the wrong kid to pick on this time! Ashtyn is my hero...she has taught myself, as well as a lot of other people, what life is all about. If you saw Ashtyn today she would probably run circles around you and you might wonder if she is really sick. That is what makes me so proud to be her dad - she has never felt sorry for herself.
