Adelaide is a kind-hearted, compassionate, bubbly, funny, charismatic, and all-around positive girl.

Before diagnosis, Adelaide was experiencing constant knee pain and struggling with lethargic behavior. Then she found out she had acute lymphoblastic leukemia and began treatment. This consisted of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, a bone marrow transplant, and two CAR-T cell transplants, one of which sent her into cardiac arrest in 2021. After three relapses and ten long years of fighting, Adelaide has reached remission!

“No matter how tough the battle was, Adelaide pushed through like no other I’ve ever seen,” said her dad, Thomas. “She managed to smile through every setback and stay her positive, sweet-hearted self no matter how hard things had become.”

Adelaide wants her story to be used to bring hope and motivation to other children who are struggling with childhood cancer, and spread awareness to the world.

“It is a long, difficult, challenging journey that will require grit and perseverance to overcome the awful disease,” Adelaide said. “Stay positive and never let this disease strip your happiness from you. You are so much more than the cancer, never let it define you.”

Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation means so much to Adelaide and Thomas. They love how the Foundation helps spread awareness and shares powerful stories to help inspire others going through similar situations. “These stories give a child going through treatment just a little extra motivation to keep pushing and to not give up,” said Adelaide. “I hope that one day cancer has a cure and all children will survive from this awful disease.”
