Libraries for Lemonade

Libraries for Lemonade is a new program for libraries to partner with Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) through the use of the book Alex and the Amazing Lemonade Stand. Libraries are encouraged to share the book with children involved in their community, and host a lemonade stand themselves! Here are some ways to include ALSF in your summer plans:

•  Include ALSF in your summer reading program! It can be a special day, a summer-long theme of giving back or anything in between! Kids in the program can host a lemonade stand and sign up for shifts after reading these books Alex and the Amazing Lemonade Stand, by Scott, The Lemonade Club by Patricia Polacco, The Fault in Our Stars by John Greene, Me & Earl & the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews, The Lemonade War series by Jacqueline Davies, etc.
   
• Read Alex and the Amazing Lemonade Stand during story hour and encourage the children in attendance to hold their own stands or events. Have a mini-lemonade stand for families to enjoy.
   
• Join Alex’s Lemonade Days, our national movement to honor Alex’s original lemonade stand. Hold an event anytime between June 3^rd and June 11^th and join the thousands of stands across the country working to raise $1 million which represents the $1 million goal Alex reached. Please note that, although Lemonade Days is a week long, any other stand/event can be held at any time throughout the year.
   
• Hold a library book sale with donated, used or withdrawn books and have the proceeds benefit ALSF
