Lemonade Days

The Rigler Family, Pennsylvania

Meet the Rigler family, ALSF's Childhood Cancer Hero family representing the many kids affected by cancer in Pennsylvania this year.

Alex's Lemonade Days is an annual 3-day fundraiser where supporters from coast to coast hold lemonade stands in a unified effort to raise funds for childhood cancer research. Support this family and all kids with cancer by hosting an Alex's Lemonade Stand in your hometown!

Peter and Stacy's daughter Maya was cured from her Wilms tumor in 2007, and the family has held annual lemonade stands to help others with childhood cancer. This year, Maya, now 10, was diagnosed with a second, apparently unrelated type of childhood cancer. The family has been tireless and powerful advocates for childhood cancer research, and their fundraising has raised an incredible $115,000 for critically needed research. You go, Maya! On her lemonade stand fundraising page Maya writes: "Maybe one day we can make sure that no other kid needs to go through this stuff :)."

The family will hold a lemonade stand on June 11 at Temple Sholom in Broomall to mark Alex's Lemonade Days, June 12-14, 2015
