Gabby is 18 months old and is a fun-loving, happy little girl. She enjoys dancing, coloring and snuggling. She loves to run, play and laugh.
Gabby was diagnosed with Beckwith-Weidemann syndrome at the age of 8 months. The condition comes with an increased risk of liver and kidney cancer, but Gabby has been blessed to have not developed cancer at this point.
Gabby’s mom hopes that Gabby can grow up loving herself for who she is, embracing her uniqueness and continuing to be strong and enjoy life. Her family will always have hope.
They are grateful that ALSF is raising money to fund research, because it is so important. No parent should have to hear that their child has Beckwith-Weidemann syndrome and then have no answers as to what to expect. The more information, the better. Gabby’s family’s hope is that no child will go undiagnosed and children can get diagnosed and start screenings sooner.
