Your Guide to Helping Kids with Cancer in 2023

Home » Blog

By: Trish Adkins

This year, more than 400,000 children will be diagnosed with childhood cancer at clinics and hospitals around the world. While overall survival rates have increased, childhood cancer still remains the leading cause of death by disease in the United States. Those children who do survive are twice as likely to suffer long term side effects from harsh, toxic treatments.

Childhood cancer will happen in 2023, but if we all work together, we can make a difference for kids facing cancer. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) Founder Alex Scott believed that safer treatments and cures were possible when we all did our part. Whether you are looking for a way to get your family, your friends, your colleagues or just yourself involved in the fight for cures for childhood cancer, ALSF has fun ways to make a difference!

Here’s how you can help kids with cancer in 2023:

The amount of the monthly donation is up to you, but for as little as $5 a month, you can know you’ve funded more than an hour of research!

Her belief inspired others to unite in the cause, and she raised $1 million before she passed away, thanks to lemonade stands held by supporters like you. Join Lemonade Days this year by hosting a stand wherever you are and however you want — in your front yard, at your office or out in the community!
