Happy Lemonade Days!

Last week, Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation supporters kicked off Lemonade Days. Traditionally, Lemonade Days is a week of front yard and community lemonade stands. This year, of course, is a little different, but the generosity and creativity from stand hosts is bigger than ever. From hosting virtual events to offering drive-by lemonade pick-up, Lemonade Days stand hosts are never short on ideas and inspiration!

After she was given a life-changing treatment at the age of 4, Alex Scott was determined to raise money to give to her doctor so he could help all kids the way he helped her. She wanted to fund better treatments and research projects to find cures for all childhood cancers.

Today is the rare collision of the day our daughter Alex passed away at the age of 8 and the start of Lemonade Days.

There are dozens of sayings related to rare occurrences — catchphrases like “one in a million” or “once in a blue moon” or “lightning never strikes the same spot twice” or “once in a lifetime.”
