This Saturday, January 18, would have marked Alex’s 18^thbirthday. It’s hard to believe that my little girl, my “forever 8 year old”, would be considered an actual adult. I wonder how she would be preparing for the second half of her senior year in high school, would she be going to college, what kind of music would she listen to, would her favorite colors still be purple and blue? So many questions that I’ll never know the answer to. Although my heart aches every time another year goes by without her, I feel very fortunate to know that her life left its mark, and that her spirit lives on in so many beautiful ways.
