Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of 4-year-old Alexandra “Alex” Scott, who was fighting cancer and wanted to raise money to find cures for all children with cancer. Her spirit and determination inspired others to support her cause, and when she died at the age of 8, she had raised $1 million.
Leah Connor and Malinda Ann Hill deemed themselves "TWINS RUN IN OUR FAMILY" and joined Team Lemon on March 17, 2012. They ran the 2012 Chicago Marathon together in memory of Leah's Irish brother-in-law, Michael, who died from relapsed childhood leukemia on St. Patrick's Day 2003 and their Irish grandmother, affectionately known as GG, who died unexpectedly from lung cancer on Friday, July 13, 2012.
Leah and Malinda Ann are grateful for every opportunity to raise awareness for childhood cancer and raise funds for research. Since 2012, they have raised $8,557 for ALSF. This year we hope to raise $1,443 so we can reach our overall fundraising goal of $10,000.
No donation is too small to make a difference. If you can, please donate $5. Thank you!
