1 in 5 kids diagnosed with cancer will not survive.

They're not dying because they weren't strong enough.
Or didn't try hard enough.
Or weren't loved enough.
Or weren't prayed for enough.

They're dying because pharmaceutical companies don't research new and less toxic treatments because they're not profitable. 

They're dying because only 4% of the billions of dollars the U.S. government spends annually on cancer research is directed towards treating childhood cancer.

1... the unlucky child out of 285 who will be diagnosed with cancer before their 20th birthday. Walk or run 1 mile a day for that kid.
4... the percent of federal government cancer research funding that goes to study pediatric cancer.
6... the average age of a child diagnosed with cancer.
35... the percent of children diagnosed with cancer who will die within 30 years of diagnosis.
43... the number of children diagnosed each day with cancer.
50... the cost, in dollars, of one hour of pediatric cancer research.
66... the 5-year survival rate of a child diagnosed with pediatric AML.
67... the percent of children who survive cancer that suffer late-effects, such as heart failure, lung damage, cognitive impairment, growth deficits, hearing loss, infertility, and secondary cancers.
71... the average number of years of life lost to pediatric cancer.
