This September, the Shepherds will be pounding the pavement for 100 miles in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and to raise funding for retinoblastoma research. The Million Mile is a fundraiser through Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation where team members make a pledge to walk, run, or cycle during the month of September. 

Where does the money go?
In 2022, retinoblastoma families started a dedicated fund to support retinoblastoma research. This fund, called The Foresight Fund for Retinoblastoma Research, is part of Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, a top funder of pediatric cancer research. There is much work to be done in understanding the genetics of RB and in identifying innovative treatments with less toxicity for even better outcomes for kids like ours. Every dollar donated here will directly fund this research and a brighter future for RB kids globally.
