Every day, there are nearly 800 new cases of childhood cancer worldwide. Childhood cancer is consistently underfunded with less than 4% of the federal government's total funding for cancer research. Our children deserve better treatment options and survival rates. 

 This September, I will be walking and running  minimum of 100 miles and attempting to raise $2,000 towards funding research for DIPG- Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma, a devastatingly fatal cancer that occurs in the brain and brainstem. Grace (a girl I love and had cared for) is no longer with us because of this horrendous disease.
