When
March 5, 2020, Finley was diagnosed with Stage 4 Wilm's Tumor, a form of kidney cancer which had spread to his lungs. After an intensive surgery, Finley spent months enduring rounds of chemotherapy and radiation in an effort to fight the disease which had invaded his body. Over 3 years later, although Finley is now off treatment, he's continuously monitored for any sign of cancer rearing its ugly head.
Every day, there are almost 800 new cases of childhood cancer around the world. This adds up to an estimated 300,000 new cases of cancer that affect children under the age of 20 each year worldwide. And yet, childhood cancer is vastly and consistently underfunded with less than 4% of the federal government's total funding for cancer research dedicated to childhood cancers each year.
Today, the money you donate has the potential to make a huge difference in the lives of kids with cancer (and their families). Your donation will fund research into safer, more effective treatments and cures. Consider joining the team, sharing to spread awareness or giving today!
